2008 Class of Inductees Announced

The National Railroad Hall of Fame is proud to announce its 2008 Class of Inductees.   Selected annually from nominations submitted by the public and by rail historians serving on the Hall of Fame’s Nominations and Inductions Committee, inductees are admitted in one of three categories:  Birth and Development Era, 1800 to 1865, The Golden Era, 1866 to 1945; and The Modern Era, 1946 to the present.

Resolutions of the United States Congress adopted in 2002 and 2003 designated Galesburg, Illinois, home of The National Railroad Hall of Fame. Created to honor the men and women who built the rails, the Hall of Fame has inducted thirty-one members since the process began in 2002.
