Members of the National Railroad Hall of Fame’s Rail Industry Advisory Group met in Denver on July 15th and 16th to advance plans for the organization’s Philanthropic Market Study. The study will lay the foundation for a successful national fundraising campaign.
Advisory group members began planning to host a series of national receptions around the country. The receptions will garner feedback on the project’s concept vision and will identify potential volunteers, supporters, and regional leadership for a national fundraising campaign. The cities targeted for receptions include Chicago; Washington, DC; San Francisco; Dallas; and Peoria.
The advisory group also discussed Class I railroad leadership support and identified influential corporate and individual contacts with ability to shape the future of the project.
