BNSF's Rose Supports National Railroad Hall of Fame

Matt Rose, the President, Chairman, and CEO of BNSF Railway offered his support of the National Railroad Hall of Fame during a meeting in Galesburg on October 20th.  Rose met with Hall of Fame leadership and members of its Rail Industry Advisory Group to discuss his role in advancing the project nationwide. 

“This project resonates with railroad executives because it celebrates the grand sweep of their industry - past, present, and future," explained NRRHoF Executive Director Julie King. "Our Engines of Freedom visitor experience will introduce a

new generation to the transformative role railroads played in the economic, political, and social development of our nation and their importance to each American today.”

Hall of Fame Chairman Jay Matson thanked Rose on behalf of the board of directors, saying “Matt’s offer to become personally involved in the project is a very generous one, and will help ensure the ultimate success of the project.  We look forward to working with him.”

Participating in the project discussion with Rose were Amy Hawkins, Senior Vice President of Governmental Affairs, BNSF Railway, Washington, DC; William E. Greenwood, Chief Operating Officer, Burlington Northern (retired), Fort Worth, Texas; Brooks A. Bentz, Supply Chain Partner, Accenture, LLP, Boston, Massachusetts; Representative Don Moffit; Jay Matson, NRRHoF Board Chair; and Julie King.
