There are three (3) historical induction eras for consideration:
• 1800 - 1865: Birth & Development Era
• 1866 - 1945: Golden Era
• 1946 - Present: Modern Era

III. Biographical Sketch
Attach a biography of the nominee not to exceed two, type-written pages. Include information on the birthplace, education, career, accomplishments, and other relevant personal or rail-related facts in the life of the nominee.

Classes and groups of individuals will be considered for induction when their accomplishments are uniquely corporate in nature and when individuals within the class or group cannot easily be identified.

Cities and towns will be considered for induction into the National Railroad Hall of Fame when their contributions are so historically significant, unique, numerous and/or diverse that the city or town itself is virtually synonymous with the development and progress of the American railroad.

All nominations must be completed using this form.  For consideration in the 2008 class of inductees, nominations must be received on or before November 1, 2008.  Nominations received after November 1, 2008, will be considered for induction the following year.
