PROGRAMMING

Museums are especially valuable learning resources for school programs. Working with area schools, the Hall of Fame will become a backdrop for lessons in the educational curricula. Math, sciences, language arts, and history are some of the learning areas that teachers and students will explore at the National Railroad Hall of Fame.

In addition to academic learning, the Hall of Fame will provide a special opportunity to foster pride, motivation, and perseverance which the railroad industry symbolizes. The types of topics can be especially helpful to youth assistance and enrichment education programs.

Special events, lecture series, and reunions will be planned to entice visitors to return. Marketing events will provide the opportunity to promote the Hall. The scheduling of traveling exhibits will encourage visitors to return and experience new and unique stories.
