The Dust Bowl

The Dust Bowl was a period of severe dust storms that forced tens of thousands of families to abandon their farms. The severe drought and dust storms had left many homeless, while others had their mortgages foreclosed by banks. There were even people who felt they had no choice but to abandon their homes and farmland in search of work.
